29th Maine International Film Festival Passes + Packages Now On Sale

WATERVILLE, Maine—Festival passes and packages are now available for preorder at miff.org for the 29th Maine International Film Festival (MIFF), which will return to Waterville, Maine, this summer, July 10–19, 2026.
Two tiers of passes are available to patrons. The Full Festival Pass gives patrons the perfect opportunity to customize their MIFF experience with priority reservation for all screenings across the 10 days. For patrons looking to curate a more focused selection of films, the 10-Pass grants access to the 10 film tickets that most speak to them. When the full festival lineup is announced in early June, passholders will be given an exclusive full week of ticket reservations before individual tickets go on sale to the general public.
Packages are available for those who want to maximize their festival experience by bundling their pass with additional opportunities such as adopting a film, lining up their priority reservations, procuring their MIFF29 merch, and making a tax-deductible contribution to the festival.

A project of the Maine Film Center, MIFF has emerged as the premier film festival in New England. Each year, the festival provides audiences of thousands with a unique balance of local and international film productions, world premieres and repertory rediscoveries, plus concerts, panels, workshops, art-making, parties, Q+As with filmmakers, and more.
Last year, MIFF28 presented the annual Mid-Life Achievement Award to Oscar-nominated actor Clive Owen and the Lifetime Achievement Award to festival co-founder and long-serving programmer Ken Eisen. The full program featured movies from three dozen different countries alongside 25 Maine-made productions. Made-in-Maine films compete annually for the Tourmaline Prizes, named for the state gem.
Across the 10 days of the festival, 100 films are shown in the Maine Film Center’s three-screen cinema and the historic 124-year-old, 800-seat Waterville Opera House, both located in the heart of downtown Waterville’s burgeoning arts district.
Deadline for Filmmakers
For filmmakers hoping to add their titles to MIFF29’s 100-movie lineup, the final extended deadline for submission is Friday, April 10. Special consideration will be given to works that were filmed in Maine or that have a significant Maine theme or focus.
